ABOUT

Ren is my namesake label that was borne out of my love for sourcing beautiful textiles. The aim has always been to create clothing thoughtfully, focusing on small batch production while using beautiful natural fibre fabrics. Becoming a mother of two daughters further deepened my commitment to slow fashion and building a business that is socially and environmentally responsible.

FABRICS

Most of our garments are constructed from handloom woven fabrics that are organic, indigenous and dyed using natural pigments or low impact dyes. From time to time we like to embellish using hand embroidery. As a result, all of our pieces come with small variations and minor irregularities that serve as a testament to the human involvement in the process.

MANUFACTURING

We collaborate with a female-owned social enterprise in South India that prioritises the employment and training of women from marginalised communities. Through offering families dual income opportunities, they foster personal development, refine skill sets, and empower their female employees to pursue their goals while supporting their families and children.

SMALL BATCH

Our production is always in small batches, offering our customers a level of exclusivity on all our pieces. Small scale also enables us to minimise fashion waste by curbing overproduction.

“We embrace slower, kinder production practices that celebrate and empower the communities we collaborate with.”
