LINEN

Linen is a sustainable fibre made from the flax plant. Flax requires no harsh chemicals to grow and in comparison to cotton, uses a lot less water and energy in its production. It is one of the strongest natural fibres around and biodegrades quickly and cleanly at the end of its life. Our linen comes from Lithuania with an OEKO-TEX 100 certification, which means the  fabrics undergo testing to ensure no harmful chemicals are used.

We carry two varieties of texture. A natural, heavier type of linen which is more rigid and structural and a laundered variety that has a soft and drapey handle.

Organic khadi

We use both machine and handwoven cottons and opt for organic wherever possible. Cottons that are not organic are still sourced fair trade, ethical and sustainable. Khadi is an ethical fabric that's made from silk, cotton, wool, and other natural fibres. It's distinguishing characteristic hand woven and sometimes hand spun also. The type of Khadi we carry is made from organic cotton, handwoven and dyed using natural dyes. This type of fabric has a very low enviromental impact
